6.9110J[6.911] Engineering Leadership Lab

Fall-2020

This subject is a component of Gordon-MIT Engineering Leadership Program Year 1 (GEL 1). All sessions will be hosted virtually (via Zoom) on Fridays, with separate sections occurring at 9-11am, 1-3 and 3-5pm (Eastern Time). As ELL centers on teamwork-based experiential learning, the sessions will be conducted for live, synchronous participation of all enrolled students. Students with concerns about their ability to participate synchronously should reach out to Eileen Milligan (emillign@mit.edu). All students will be assigned to teams during the first week of classes and are expected to participate with their team throughout the semester (attendance is required weekly). Given the distributed nature of the team-based activities, ELL is not typically conducive to being recorded and therefore cannot be made up outside of scheduled class time. When required, lab kits will be shipped to remote students and other materials will be distributed digitally via email or the course Canvas site. Students who anticipate participation issues or absence for a given week due to extenuating circumstances are asked to contact the GEL instructional staff. Course assignments, quizzes, leadership reflections, and other deliverables will be posted to the course Canvas site.
